Sailing is better with a friend. Here's how to bring one along.
How it works
Sailing is better with a friend. Once you're signed up for a Sea Leg Saturday, you can invite a friend to come along. Their first sail is free, and all they need first is our free online Intro to Sailing course. Here's how Amy brought her friend Jordan.
Amy signs up for a Sea Leg Saturday on the Crew page. Then she taps Bring a buddy.

She adds Jordan's name and email and taps Send invite. Jordan gets an email invitation.

Jordan opens the invitation. New to sailing? No problem: the free Intro to Sailing course takes about 20 to 30 minutes on a phone or computer. Then Jordan adds a name and cell phone and taps Yes, sign me up.
Amy sees Jordan is coming, and Bob pairs them up on the water. That's it!

Good to know
Our sailing activities are for adults 18 and older. You can bring up to two friends.
Your friend has until 10 p.m. the night before to sign up. We'll send them a friendly reminder.
Tick I'm only going if my buddy comes when you invite them. If they can't make it, we'll cancel your sign-up for you and let you know.
We email you when your friend signs up or can't make it.
Buddy Booking works on Free Rides, Crew Days and Crew Bank too. For Crew Days and Crew Bank, your buddy needs the same courses, membership and coach-verified skills you have to sail with you. If they're not there yet, they can still take a Free Ride on Crew Days that offer one, with a different skipper.
On Crew Days and Crew Bank, if you're only going if your buddy comes, your spot isn't held until they sign up, so if the date fills up first, your sign-up is released and we email you both.
Wednesday Beer Can Racing isn't included; talk to Dan about bringing crew.
