Clinton Marina Sailing Club is an auxiliary of the Commodore Decatur Yacht Club. CMSC was established in 2025 to ensure the continuity of marina-based sailing programs and regattas at the Clinton Marina following the exit of the Clinton Lake Sailing Association. We offer Learn to Sail Sundays, host the Glow in the Dark Regatta in September and weeknight Beer Can Racing every Wednesday. CMSC works in cooperation with Flying Scot Fleet 135, Clinton Lake Marina & Campground, Shore House Bar & Grill, and 32 Marine.

After you've developed your Sea Legs on Sea Leg Saturdays, getting on a sailboat for beer can racing is as easy as (1) signing up and (2) showing up, and (3) checking in with our coordinator for your boat assignment. Our most accomplished racers are assigned to help coach beginner and intermediate racers. The goal is always to have fun and get better. Beer can racing is a casual, social, and relaxed form of sailboat racing. It's a great way for both experienced and novice sailors to enjoy the sport, focusing on fun and camaraderie rather than intense competition. If you have questions about racing with the Flying Scots, email us at fleet135racing@gmail.com.
